About Jammin’ 4

Building A Better Future with LIVE Music

Jammin’ 4 is a live music fundraiser debuting in 2026, bringing together well-known local bands for one powerful night in support of a community charity. The bands have collectively contributed to numerous charitable fundraising initiatives over the years. Through various community-led events and collaborations, local musicians and organizers have helped generate nearly $800,000 for causes including healthcare, personal development, and the arts. Past beneficiaries of those broader community efforts have included Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, McLaren Art Centre, Canadian Mental Health Association, Kempenfelt Rotary Club, Barrie Special Olympics, and Glowing Hearts Charity. This launches in 2026 as a new, independently organized event, with Theatre by the Bay selected as this year’s charitable partner. Theatre by the Bay is a professional not-for-profit charitable theatre company creating high-quality live theatre experiences and mentorship opportunities for emerging artists in Barrie. Your sponsorship directly supports, professional theatre productions, artist development initiatives, accessible live theatre experiences and youth and mentorship programming.

Five Prominent Local Bands

The Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects aren’t just another band—they’re a testament to how rock ‘n’ roll can rally a community for a cause. This ensemble of local professionals trades their day jobs for instruments, channelling their love for rock and roll into philanthropy that resonates beyond the stage.

Founded 20 years ago, the band’s first iteration as Sonic Coalition became a mainstay at charity events, supporting annual fundraisers for causes as diverse as the MacLaren Art Centre, Barrie Food Bank, RVH, and Rotary charities.  Sonic Coalition helped raise more than $3M while having a whole ton of rock-and-roll fun.  Fronted by the late great Gerry Pilon on lead vocals, high points for the band included opening for the Steve Miller Band at Casino Rama, taking the stage at the Kee to Bala, and playing the inaugural concert at the opening of Meridian Place in downtown Barrie.

Glenn Coulson has now taken up Gerry’s torch as singer – and as the Usual Suspects, Brad, Chris, Jim, Jeff, Paul and Glenn continue the legacy of community support through the same take-no-prisoners, never-play-the-same-way twice brand of turbocharged country punk that Sonic Coalition had become known for.  The Usual Suspects are delighted to be part of this event.

Steve's Garage

For more than 15 years, Steve’s Garage has been cranking out good times, big laughs, and even bigger tunes. What started as a Thursday‑night jam in an actual garage has grown into a full‑blown tradition — rocking out for family, friends, and anyone who loves a great night at The Queen’s Sports Bar.

Along the way, we’ve had the chance to turn our music into something that matters, raising funds for community groups and causes close to our hearts.

Our set list? Let’s just say we don’t believe in staying in one lane. We jump from rock to country to pop and back again — whatever gets the crowd moving and the night buzzing.

We took a little breather last year to make a few changes, recharge, and tune up… but now we’re back, fired up, and ready to hit the stage harder than ever.

Steve’s Garage is officially back in session — and we’re ready to rock.

The Bailouts

The Bailouts have been part of The Battle of the Bands from its early inception and is excited to be part of Jammin4. The band only plays for charity as a means of giving back to the community. You may have seen the band at the Queens or Donaleigh’s supporting a number of charity events. Over the years some members have changed which has allowed the band to change the type of music played. With the powerful voice of Lisa Hutchinson and the band consisting of Andy Ain, Rod Burns, Jason Flood and Jeff Garner this band brings the audience a blend of  blues, jazz and rock. A band you don’t want to miss.

Bunker

What started out as a true garage band with a focus on brotherhood, beer, red wine and some music, BUNKER has evolved into a fan favourite stage and charity event band…including the highlight of performing as an opening act for Glass Tiger at the Ray Twinney Arena.

BUNKER performs a wide range of music…from rocked out versions of 80s synth songs to today’s big artists such as Harry Styles, Noah Kahan, Kings of Leon and Dua Lipa. The goal has always been to keep the crowd on its feet and engaged

With evolution comes change .  Pete, Tim and Toivo are thrilled to welcome Hudson and Dave into BUNKER.  BUNKER  not only has become reenergized and focused with the new additions, but the band is also now considerably taller and better looking .

Code Blue

Code Blue formed 17 years ago to raise money for the hospital. Our current lineup has been together 15 years and we’ve played every battle of the bands. As part of the hospital fundraising we’ve had the great experience of playing at casino Rama with April wine, Kim Mitchell Jim Cuddy,54-40, Glass Tiger and the Trews. We are always extremely excited to be back on the stage for a raucous evening.
